”Serge” is an Academy Award-qualifying documentary short and 2021 Webby Award Honoree, produced and edited entirely from home by Aria Inthavong in 2020 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. A co-production between Studio 5758 and BuzzFeed, “Serge” was originally released on YouTube before entering the festival circuit.

Told entirely through a computer screen, what begins as a personal investigation by brothers Aria and Saixana Inthavong to find their father’s missing best friend, “Serge” quickly evolves into a deeper meditation on the complexities of human nature and life, all while tackling the haunting question of how well we can truly know even the people closest to us.

The winner of the Panavision Award for Outstanding Feature at the 2023 Micheaux Film Festival, “Nowhere Men,” is an independent feature film from Studio 5758, starring, directed and edited by Aria Inthavong.

Narrated by two-time Tony Award winner, Donna Murphy, “Nowhere Men” is a comedy that follows a delusional director and his beleaguered cast’s attempts to stage his ostentatious Beatles musical. But the twist? Similar to films like “Borat,” virtually everyone aside from the director are real people whose unscripted reactions to the production’s chaos are captured on camera. From the cast members of the musical to the audience members attending the show, “Nowhere Men” is full of real people who are unknowingly at the center of an unscripted comedy that's also a heartfelt portrait of community theater and the people that find a home in that world.

Originally filmed in 2016, “Nowhere Men” was originally produced with a budget of only $2,000 and is still seeking distribution.
